Amanda Simmons, MAcOM
Amanda is board certified by the National Certification Commission of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. She received her Masters Degree in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine from the New England School of Acupuncture (NESA). Growing up she was always interested in health and wanted to get into the medical profession. Having compassion and being able to help others is what drives her.
While in school at NESA, Amanda was able to work at a clinic that specialized in treating patients with PTSD and HIV; many of the patients were low-income or homeless. Giving back to the community is important to Amanda. After graduating NESA, Amanda traveled to Nepal and provided acupuncture and herbal medicine at rural health posts. There she worked with many people suffering from pain, strokes and menstrual issues. Amanda specializes in treating chronic pain, menstrual and fertility issues, digestive disorders and pediatrics.
