Daniel Schmader, CADC, MHRT-C
Program Manager & Adventure Therapist
After graduating from the College of the Holy Cross in 2013 with a BA in political science, Dan began working in the fast-paced finance industry in New York City. He later found a home and solace in the beautiful Maine wilderness, rock climbing and athletics offered by Portland.
Dan now helps plan, manage and execute programming at Foundation House – specifically athletic and volunteer efforts. His primary focus is getting residents out on the field, ice and courts to engage in team-building activities that enhance the brotherhood found in the Foxhole. Dan plans various volunteer projects for Foundation House residents, many centered on environmental protection and conservation. Dan also plays an integral part in the daily operations of Foundation House and acts as a mentor and guide to residents.
